SC Pixel Master A

Control unit with DMX/Art-Net/sACN input and four outputs for digital LED strips. It serves as a bridge between Spectoda wireless installations and the DMX world, including lights and lighting consoles.

SC Pixel Master A is a powerful controller designed for controlling a large number of digital pixels. It works as a bridge between professional lighting design and the Spectoda ecosystem. In addition to standard Spectoda functions, it can receive Art-Net and sACN (E1.31) protocols over Ethernet and convert them in real time into a signal for LED strips.

  • Supplied with Spectoda firmware, so it is fully compatible with other devices in the network.
  • Built on an ESP32-POE2 board and a dedicated Spectoda Pixel Master Shield.
  • Provides 4 independent outputs for addressable LEDs.
  • Supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), simplifying installation cabling.
  • Supports “Standby” modes and Spectoda wireless functions (ESP-NOW) for local scenarios when no media server signal is present.
  • Wireless control and synchronization within the Spectoda network (ESP-NOW).
  • Compatibility with Art-Net/sACN software such as Resolume, MadMapper, and others.
  • Automatically creates or joins a wireless mesh network.
  • Device firmware can be updated over the air.
  • Cloud service and remote management are available.
  • Easy integration into complex visual systems.

It is ideal for projects requiring low-latency control of a large number of pixels, such as stage design, club installations, interactive art pieces, or facade lighting. Ethernet support makes it suitable for installations where data stability and speed from media servers are important.

  • Platform: ESP32-WROVER-E (Wi-Fi/BT, 4 MB flash, 8 MB PSRAM)
  • Ethernet: 10/100 Mb with PoE 802.3af/at support (Class 4)
  • Outputs: 4 independent data channels for digital LED
  • Protocols: Art-Net, sACN (E1.31), OSC, Spectoda ESP-NOW
  • Dimensions: 114 mm x 66 mm x 48 mm (3D-printed enclosure)
  • Power supply: PoE or external supply, with the option to power external circuits up to 25 W
  • Indication: status LEDs, pairing button, reset

Use case 1: the controller renders Art-Net / sACN to 4 NEOPIXEL addressable LED strips. It controls the other controllers in the installation wirelessly over Spectoda Mesh.

  • Driver for addressable LED strips (Digital/Pixel)
  • Art-Net/sACN node for mapping software
  • Control unit for high-pixel-density installations
  • Addressable LED strips and chips (WS2811/12/12B/13/15)
  • Chips with DATA and CLOCK support (SK6812 RGB/RGBW, APA102, etc.)
  • Support for GW6205, UCS1903/B, UCS2904, CS8812, and others

  1. Connect an Ethernet cable with PoE. We recommend using an isolated PoE switch or injector compliant with 802.3af/at.
  2. Connect LED strips to the terminal block (outputs 1-4). Connect DATA, optionally CLOCK, +V, and GND.
  3. The data line from the controller to the first LED should not exceed 1 meter. For longer routes, consult the solution with the Spectoda team.
  • Important: ESP32-POE2 does not have galvanic isolation between USB and PoE. Never connect a USB cable when the device is powered through PoE, as this may damage the computer or controller.
  • Use isolated PoE equipment and avoid ground loops.
  • The product is not intended for installation on flammable surfaces.
  • Follow output current limits and proper conductor sizing.
